Oiliness

Sebum is primarily a natural protector of our scalp. It creates a film on the skin that prevents it from drying out and protects it from natural aggressions. However, when the scalp's microbiome is imbalanced, we can observe an imbalance in sebum production.

The body will enter an inflammatory process and produce more and more sebum (seborrhea). This disruption can occur throughout life, often during periods of hormonal changes or high stress levels. To combat excess sebum, it's important to both prioritize natural and clean products (without sulfate, without paraben...) like Flora products, and also rebalance the scalp's microbiome with specific products such as scrubs and serums.
